If you’re a devotee of Lord Shiva, then you must have booked a jyotirlinga yatra tour package to visit all the jyotirlingas in India at least once in your lifetime. Literally meaning the ‘radiant sign of almighty’, a jyotirlinga is a devotional representation or an image of Lord Shiva. While it is believed that originally there were 64 jyotirlingas in the country, 12 of them are considered extremely important as they are very holy and auspicious. Each of the twelve jyotirlinga sites take the name of a deity presiding over it and each one is considered a different manifestation of Shiva. At all these sites, the primary image is lingam representing the beginningless and endless Stambha pillar which symbolises the infinite nature of Lord Shiva. Shiva’s Jyotirlinga is highly revered among the Hindus.
Delhi - Dehradun ( Kedarnath) – Varanasi(Vishweswar) -Deogarh (Vaidhyanath)– Kurnool, A.P( Mallikarjun) – Madurai ( Rameshwaram) – Pune( Bhimshankar) – Nashik (Trimbakeshwar)– Aurangabad( Grishneshwar) -Indore( Omkareshwar) – Ujjain( Mahakaleshwar) -Porbander (Somnath)- Dwarka ( Nageshwar) – Delhi.
Day 1 – Board the charter by 0600 Hrs & fly to Dehradun. Upon landing transfer to waiting for helicopter & after briefing flies to Sersi & later fly to Kedarnath Jyotirling by shuttle helicopter. Post darshan flies back to Dehradun Airport & later flies to Varanasi by charter plane. Evening aarti and darshan at Vishweshwar Jyotirling which is appx. 25 km from hotel Transferred to Hotel for overnight – Overnight Varanasi.
Day 2 – Attend early morning aarti at Jyotirling and back to the hotel for breakfast. Check out and proceed to Sarnath, Sankat Mochan temple and later fly for Deogarh and upon arrival drive to Vaidhyanath Jyotirling for Darshan, which is just 9 km. Pay a visit to Basukinath temple also, Post darshan fly to Kurnool and check in to hotel upon landing- Overnight Kurnool.
Day 3 – Post early breakfast drive to Srisailam by road, which is appx. 170 Kms. Arrive Srisailam & post darshan at Mallikarjun Jyotirling drive back to Kurnool. Later fly to Madurai & check into the hotel, visit Meenakshi Amman Temple – Overnight Madurai.
Day 4 – Post breakfast drive to Rameshwaram, which is at a distance of appx. 175 km. Post darshan at Rameshwaram Jyotirling drive back to Madurai & fly to Pune – Overnight Pune.
Day 5 – Post breakfast drive to Bhimshankar Jyotirling, which is at a distance of appx. 110 km. Post Darshan Drive back to Pune and fly to Nashik & drive to Trimbakeshwar Jyotirling for Darshan, which is appx. 55 Kms. Drive back to Nashik & fly to Aurangabad- Overnight Aurangabad.
Day 6 – Early morning drive to Grishneshwar Jyotirling, appx 168 Kms. and post darshan visit Ajanta Ellora caves drive back to Aurangabad & fly to Indore. Drive to Ujjain for an overnight stay– Overnight Ujjain.
Day 7 – Proceed to attend early morning Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling and later drive to Omkareshwar Jyotirling for Darshan. Later fly to Porbander from Indore - Overnight Porbander.
Day 8 – Post breakfast drive to Somnath Jyotirling by road. Post Darshan drive back to Porbander- Overnight Porbander.
Day 9- Post breakfast checks out and drive to Nageshwar Jyotirling, Dwarka by road. Later after visiting Bhet Dwarka drive back to Porbander & fly to Delhi……End of the tour upon landing at Delhi.
